Sarah Baxendale information
Sarah Baxendale can currently be seen in the popular UK soap "Hollyoaks" in which she plays the character "Ellie Mills". Sarah joined Hollyoaks in 2002 and has had regular appearances ever since. Her character is part of the "Hunter" family which consists of Lisa (Gemma Atkinson), Dan, Les, Sally and Lee. Ellie married Toby Mills who was Dan’s best friend in late 2003 but the marriage was destroyed with the realization that Toby was a serial killer. Ellie covered for her husband as she feared what would happen to both of them if she reported the terrible events. In the end Dan and Lisa found out and rushed to help Ellie as Toby decided to end his life and take Ellie with him. Dan stopped him from killing Ellie but Toby died in the struggle. In a mixture of shock and denial Ellie stood up in court and accused Dan of killing Toby and being the serial killer. Dan was jailed but released on bail after extensive work by his family who knew he was innocent. This wrong accusation of Dan has created a rift between Ellie and her family (especially Sally). Ellie is gradually moving on from this but is constantly reminded of her past. She experiences glaring and muttering wherever she goes in Chester Village and whilst this is dying down she now has another problem to contend with. Steph Dean (played by Carly Stenson) who was the only survivor of Toby Mill's attacks is extracting revenge on Ellie. Steph has been left with Epilepsy after being dealt a blow to the back of the head by the infamous Toby. She befriended Ellie only to use this friendship to play a series of pranks increasing in maliciousness each time (she has called Ellie and reported Les had been involved in an accident and she was needed at the hospital, stolen Ellie's purse and accompanied Ellie to the place where she hid it in a brown paper bag and covered it in red paint, forged a letter from Ellie to the Hollyoaks community college requesting removal from the I.T course Ellie had enrolled on). This does seem to have died down recently however Steph still holds the grudge and will no doubt seek to continue it at a later date.
